Playing hockey since I was seven years old I understood that injuries were part of the sport. When I had my first injury my parents and I sought treatment from someone who knew the sport of ice hockey. Dr. Chevalier was the perfect choice, he had played ice hockey when he was younger and had a complete understanding of the game and of the needs and demands that the sport has on a hockey player’s body. I first came to Dr. Chevalier’s Team Clinic sports medicine seven years ago when I was fourteen for a hip flexor problem and then a year later for a shoulder injury. The treatment I received for the hip flexor allowed me to stay on the ice during my treatment with no problems. I received outstanding and knowledgeable care for my shoulder injury and was back on the ice quickly. Five years ago after I had a knee on knee collision that resulted in a partially dislocated knee cap and a compression fracture I again sought Dr. C’s help. After several weeks of treatment and rehabilitation I was able to return to the ice without problem. Today I play Division I College Hockey for the University of New Hampshire. Recently, I aggravated my knee after doing load baring exercises. Since I was home for the summer I immediately sought a diagnosis and treatment, so I returned to TEAM Clinic. The care that TEAM Clinic has provided me is second to none. I couldn’t ask for a better environment or a more professional staff. Dr. C and his staff understand that a hockey player’s knees are very important when it comes to the technique of skating and have given me the right tools and information to get my knee healthy again. TEAM Clinic was very helpful in diagnosing my problem, which is IT Band Syndrome, and getting me into top form for the upcoming season. I would and have recommended TEAM Clinic to anyone seeking up to date techniques, professional service and overall outstanding care.
