Neck Pain

Pain in the spine at the neck is common and may be due to a single pathologic process or combined abnormalities. The neck is highly mobile and regularly involved in complex movements that also often require heavy weight bearing or the use of great force. Soft tissues of this region are compressed into tight compartments, increasing their susceptibility to stress. Symptoms may include muscle weakness, reflex and sensory loss.

An Injured Neck

Vertebrae can wear down, muscles can tear, ligaments can be torn, nerves can be pinched, and/or discs can rupture.

A Healthy Neck

Your neck (cervical spine) is aligned in a natural curve at the top of your spine.  Damage to your neck's natural curve can cause painful problems.
